The subject of the discipline is:

1. Topographic anatomy - a science that studies the structure, shape and relationships of organs and tissues in different parts of the body, depending on the species, age and sex of animals. Creates a theoretical basis for operative surgery.

2. Operative surgery - the science of surgical operations, methods (methods) of surgical interventions, the essence of which is the mechanical impact on organs or tissues for diagnostic, therapeutic and prophylactic purposes. The main aspects of operative surgery are the doctrine of operative access and operative reception.

3. Anesthesiology - the science that studies the theory and practice of artificial pain relief with general or local anesthesia, methods of managing body functions before, during and after surgery.

The purpose of the study of operative surgery is to acquaint students with the theoretical foundations, rules, methods and techniques of surgery. Formation of clinical thinking in the organization, preparation and conduct of surgical operations on certain parts of the body of different species of animals, acquisition of skills of immobilization and fixation of animals, mastering the technique of surgery, justification of rational surgical access to organs and tissues taking into account species and age anatomical and topographic aspects.

Subject, the purpose of studying the discipline

The subject of the discipline "Veterinary Pharmacology" is the changes that occur in the organs and systems of the body under the influence of drugs, the conversion of drugs in the body, the relationship between chemical structure, physicochemical properties and pharmacological action of drugs, and the use of drugs for treating patients and for prophylactic purposes. One of the important tasks of pharmacologists is to create new, highly effective drugs based on products of chemical and semi-chemical synthesis, raw materials of natural origin (plants, tissues, animal organs, minerals, products of microorganisms, and fungi) based on genetic engineering technologies, as well as studying the mechanisms of their action with the subsequent introduction into medical practice

The purpose of studying the course "Veterinary Pharmacology" aims to prepare theoretical prerequisites for mastering the practical application of drugs in veterinary medicine, depending on the pharmacodynamics and biotransformation of drugs in animals of different species and features of the pathogenesis of the disease.
